I am a London-based specialist for interior design photography, who loves capturing design-led spaces with a timeless and authentic approach to photography.


Whether residential or commercial interiors, I look for the elements that make each interior design unique. My starting point as your photographer is to create images that are aspirational and perfect for marketing through editorial magazines and online formats.

With a keen eye for the detail and place my emphasis on natural light where possible. My aim is to highlight the special qualities and character of each design through spatially aware strong compositions, that capture the balance of light and shadow.

INTERIOR PHOTOGRAPHER

Although my interior photographer service is London based, I will work UK wide. So whether the interior you require photographing is an office, restaurant, hotel or retail store – I am dedicated to providing beautiful interior design photography in a professional timely manner, with prompt delivery of the final interior photos. 

I will provide you photography that enhances the architecture of the interior environment and how each room relates, including the use of textures and colours. My main source of light will always be the natural ambient light available, with a pop of flash light where and if required. Experienced interior photographers like myself look to create visually stunning imagery that is captivating but truthful to the space.

My business is fully insured, and I have been working as an interior photographer for around 20 years. I work with developers, interior designers, architects and suppliers in the building industry across the UK, including Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds

After so many years involved within interior photography, walking into a new interior is still exciting. The initial excitement from working out the angles to display the interiors at their best allows me to really get creative. I always start by going room to room, as the location naturally flows. This allows me to get a feeling of each room and their relation to each other for the overall interior design.

I have been shooting interiors for nearly 20 years so this is all second nature and I know whats required instantly. The key for an interior photographer is to show the rooms function, design and layout of the interior from the main angle and then I can get creative in choosing either quirky perspectives or angles that show the room in action. I typically shoot around waist height, depending on whether the floor or ceiling adds additional excitement to the image.

Interior photographers mainly work with natural light. It is the perfect scenario when the natural light illuminates the scene at the right time of day. However this is not always possible so if need be I can either recreate natural light or create a flash lit scene. I use both natural and artificial light to capture interiors. I will take a series of photos in all light conditions to give more options in the editing phase. I also use additional lighting to highlight the features and textures of the interior design.

My photo-shoots are well managed, efficient on time with the minimal amount of disruption to the location to maximise the output from the photography. Interior photography is the perfect way to illustrate and faithfully capture the interior designers creativity. Good lighting when combined with the process of composition and dressing the scene allow for a final image that is a mix of photographic skill and locational understanding.

There is no one solution fits all with interior photography, no location is the same so it is best to view the scene as a series of images. Taking some wide angle interior photos along with mid focal length to close up details. I spend time making minor adjustments in the scene and in the camera. So i’ll adjust my composition and framing along with the furniture and props in the scene.

It is these finer details that make the shot perfect. You need to find the balance to make interior photography work well and effectively, so by adjusting the composition and knowing what can or cant be cropped out of the image to help tell the visual story. Only a specialist in interior photography can give you truly professional results.

I seek to work with creative interior design agencies and individuals, property developers, luxury product manufacturers, national retailers, hotel chains and restaurants. I like working commercially, and great commercial interior photography requires interesting angles, subtle realistic lighting and true colours. 

I love photographing kitchens, bathrooms, retail spaces, new office fit outs. I feel they are the hardest interiors to design and when designed well they create powerful images. I have a sharp and keen eye for capturing the design, and I am to goto interior photographer for many companies.
