About Me

1990’s

The First Click

There’s no usual photographers story of my grandfathers brownie camera. I was taught photography whilst at Art college in the mid 90’s. I started with the techniques and processing of Black and White film photography. My art tutor did give me my first camera though – A Minolta film camera left behind by a previous student.

2000

Professional Life Begins

I graduated from university with a degree in Fine Art. The plan was to leave as a painter, but after also studying colour film processing as part of my degree I ended up working within mixed media and photography. Initially in the first few years I spent a lot of time exhibiting artwork with galleries worldwide, and working on commissions and illustrations for magazines.

Mid Noughties

Commercial

I left film behind and went digital with the various early Nikon DSLR’s. I also took a break from the art world and started working commercially within photography covering all types of assignments through all business sectors, including product photography, pr photography, corporate portraits and events – and even some weddings. There probably isn’t much that I haven’t photographed over the years.

2010

Interiors & Exteriors

Around 2010 I realised my preferred commercial work involved architectural assignments – so I started focusing my business around Interior & Exterior assignments. Whether working for designers, suppliers or end users I love to work on these types of projects.

TODAY

Next Chapter

Loving life with a happy balance.

Although most of my clients are in London, I tend to find assignments are UK wide, so I now live in the countryside in Oxfordshire and travel into London and across the UK for work.

I also help out my wife with her international wedding photography business when she needs me, and then spend the rest of my time either at the gym, running or working on my artistic skills. Currently I am life drawing, but in 2026 I am planning to restart painting after a 25 year break.
